AI website to generate infinite photos of people who don’t exist.

The title itself sounds scary isn’t it? Well, the very fact that machine learning and artificial intelligence is taking over the industries around the world is fascinating and spooky at the same time.

A professional AI developer Philip Wang developed a website called “Thispersondoesnotexist.com” which continuously generates infinite faces that looks realistic from multiple angles.

The faces aren’t really 100% perfect, but from a real quick look, a big majority of the human beings around the world will think its real. The story of fake or AI generated faces don’t even hook inside your thoughts when you see those pictures. In fact, you could really doubt whether this article is fake!

Philip Wang uses an NVIDIA GPU on a rented server to generate one new face every 2 seconds. Every machine learning model requires training models to generate a result, this project has a catalog of faces that helps the AI model generate more and more images with an algorithm to back it.

These types of image generation showcase the ability of machine learning models but also questions the future of artificial intelligence. Fake testimonials, ID cards and even profiles on social media websites could be created with these images while nobody is complaining you for using their face.
