Alexa annoucements

Alexa is getting better at making announcements.

Amazon is seriously focusing on improving Alexa to keep their customers productive and to make use of Amazon Alexa in the most efficient way possible. Recently, Alexa came up with some interesting updates like Alexa brief mode feature, donate feature and few more.

But now Alexa can make announcements.

Well, Alexa has a certain range to accept voice commands and execute it. You cannot place your Amazon Echo device in the ground floor and ask Alexa to do something from the first floor (that’s not gonna help).

In those cases, basically the only option is to buy more Amazon Echo devices and to keep them connected with each other. Preferably two in a floor which totally depends on the size and the voice reach.

Alexa could now work like a one way intercom, so that your mother could make an announcement with Alexa from the ground floor and you’d be able to hear it clearly from the Echo device which is in your room.

You just have to ask alexa to announce,

“Hey Alexa, announce dinner is ready”

and you’re good to go. The announcement has already reached all other echo devices and its time for a family dinner. You could also use commands like “Alexa, broadcast” or “Alexa, tell everyone” to trigger an announcement.

All these are tiny features which makes Amazon Alexa more smarter and efficient enough to satisfy the needs of every single user out there. This feature might be a little awkward to you (because asking your children to join the dinner with the help of Alexa doesn’t sound cool), but surely it helps a group of users (if the house is that big enough).

We will be able to witness a lot of features which are about to be launched, and the AI powered Alexa is always focused on improving your experience.
