Fortnite Racks Up Big Numbers in Google Play Store

It can be confidently said that Fortnite is the game of the year. The game conquered every single gaming platform, and it last made its entry to the Google Play Store. And needless to say, the app trumped the store. The game is posting some really shocking numbers just three weeks after hitting the market.

The parent company, Epic noted that the survival game hit an amazing 23 million players on the mobile operating system. There is now a total of 15 million APK installs. Sounds impressive? Hear the best part. These numbers are after just 21 days in the Play Store.

Huge Numbers

And of course, the company is happy with these numbers. These huge numbers mean some nice bucks for the company, and the company is cutting Google’s 30 percent take out of this cost. But, if not for Google, how will the app survive against malware attacks?

Well, the company is taking control of that. Epic has taken efforts to tackle all potential malware threats. This has seemed to put all worries to rest, and this is something really impressive in the part of the company.

And since the company earns some big numbers from the game, the company is not happy with illegal websites that put up the game up for downloads. The company has already instigated action against such 47 unauthorized websites, and the company is also continuing to police the situation by cutting out unauthorized accounts and not allowing signups or logins from unauthorized downloads.

Tough Competitors

The company is also restricting access by leveraging the company’s connection with a network of anti-fraud partners. This looks like some heavy policing right there, and it makes sense since the company has already entered an agreement with Samsung to have the game be default with the Note 9, and that seems like an agreement that the company would like to keep for a very long time.

Though Fortnite has some heavy competitors out there like PUBG, the game continues to be one of the high-racking games out there for a while, and various other gaming companies are stepping up their games to combat against this threat.

Various mobile games like Clash of Clans have also released updates promising upcoming features and even heavier and violent multiplayer championships. And so one can only see what kind of strategies do the competing companies come up with. With gaming mixing with cutting edge technology, gaming will very soon be up in a whole new level.
