iCloud is hosted by Google Cloud, but that’s okay

The photos you take, the videos you record and the data you keep on your iCloud which is an inbuilt cloud storage service provided by Apple, is being hosted by Google cloud.

I’ll tell you why and there is nothing to worry about it.

Google Cloud

Google has one of the top class cloud platform available in the world right now. They are tightly in competition with Microsoft Azure and AWS from Amazon, which makes them competent.

But why do apple have to rely on Google cloud?

The question is common and obvious, but the answer is more pleasing. The real is a bit technical in nature, because Apple doesn’t have a cloud platform which is as competent as Google cloud or Microsoft Azure. Also, Google cloud is one of the best and optimal option for Apple to keep their users data secure.

The data which we collect every day in the form of photos, videos and even text files are being stored in iCloud to protect it and to make it sync with other apple devices which you own. The sync keeps the data accessible in every other apple devices and the backup protects the data from getting lost.

These data is being stored in a computer machine called servers which is not exactly in the clouds, but it’s called cloud storage. Apple chose Google cloud because they can provide the best infrastructure to keep such bulk user data safe within their servers.

You don’t necessarily have to know about cloud servers or Google cloud right now, because Apple has it under control. Even though the server infrastructure is being provided by Google, it’s pretty like Apple is owning the complete rights to protect their data.

Most importantly, Google can never use Apple’s user data.

Because Google Cloud is a very well established server provider and they value their customer relationship more than anything. From technology to security, they have everything pretty neatly arranged, so there is actually nothing to worry about iCloud using Google clouds.

Not only Apple, but other tech giants are also partnering with Google cloud because of their service quality and security features. They provide one of the best infrastructure available right now in the market.

After all, Apple is a customer of Google with billions of data and money flowing within the cloud servers.

So it’s time to clear off the cloud above you and start taking more photos and videos with your apple devices. Your data is safe and apple is giving you the guarantee.
