Samsung to Launch Foldable and 5G Smartphones to Beat Competition

It would be safe to say that this month was owned by Google, OnePlus, and Apple. These companies released a ton of products that has made everyone crazy, and rightly so. These products are some top notch ones, and they have clearly changed what customers expect from smartphone companies.

And that might be a problem. You see, Samsung also launched phones this month, but frankly, no one really cares. Samsung’s phones are seeing a decline in phones, and that is clearly affecting the company’s profits. Now, the company is earning some big bucks only because of the sale of chips. Its lineup for the mid to low-end products have seen decreased sales, and that is now clearly hurting the company.

Failing Products

Now if someone cares about Samsung phones, it would be only about its S line up. But Samsung is gearing up to face competition. The company is planning to up its game by launching foldable and 5G smartphones by 2019. The company is also looking forward to changing its low to mid-range smartphones lineup to attract a millennial audience.

And the company is also now strengthening its other products too. Like, displays for cars and larger devices like laptops. The company is also pulling all the guns to expand its OLED business too. And that is part of the reason the company is looking into displays. Currently, the company is the leading producer in OLED screens, and the company is looking forward to expanding that business.

Tough Competition

At the same time, the company is also expecting a rise in both profits and also offers for a growing cloud market and also bigger mobile storage offerings. The company is also expecting to see its SoC’s improve over time and take charge of the competition. These moves by Samsung actually make sense. The company is failing in the mobile segment, and its clever that the phone is focusing on other aspects of the business. The company is also planning on diversifying its product line-up with 3D sensors, a fingerprint on display sensors and also various other products that would extend its Internet of Things lineup.

Samsung has a lot of areas to cover up for. To start with, Samsung at present has no best selling smart home appliance. Google, Amazon and Apple have, and they are selling like hot cakes. Google is leading the software side of things, and Samsung is falling back on that too. Apple is taking things forward with its iPad, and though Samsung launches various tablets, they are failing too.

Microsoft has its Surface lineup, and Samsung has no selling laptops too. But that does not mean that the company is slowly meeting its doom. The company is expected to come back with a bang, and a bang that will shake things up for the company.
