Tumblr just enabled HTTPS to their website after a long “over-due”

Ensuring security on each and every website is the responsibility which is being shared by web developers and companies around the world. In fact, the security issues over the internet have made HTTPS, absolutely free to use on websites since the last few years. Search engine likes Google, Yahoo, etc are seriously considering HTTPS (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secured) as a security signal for the website.

It’s really unbelievable to see that Tumblr had a very long delay in implementing “HTTPS” on their pages which had over 464 million users. Also, the fact that a technical challenge was in place clears out the question. Internet enthusiasts clearly know that the delay didn’t happen due to the lousy to-do list Tumblr developer had, but because of serious technical challenges.

Somehow, Tumblr has solved the problem which brings more security to their website in terms of Google’s language and for the user’s comfort and security over browsing Tumblr. Interestingly delayed, but better late than never. In fact Digital. Brussels team has HTTPS ready since the start of the blog to ensure security for our users.
