You can now gift Apple music membership to your friend

Apple music is trying to gain more paying subscribers to improve their business numbers with a simple and interesting new push notification which is completely against their app store guidelines.

I know that sounds funny, but anyway it doesn’t harm Apple music users and it’s a too good offer to hook your friends to Apple music. Let’s accept the fact that Apple music is indeed a worthy music subscription which could be compared to Spotify.

The experience within the app is brilliant, especially its so good when it gets to share your playlist with a friend who is already using Apple music. Well, the Cupertino giant is already offering a 3 months free subscription to Apple music for newly joined members, but now you get the access to gift one month of Apple music membership for free to your favorite friends (provided that you’re already an apple music subscriber).

But it’s too funny to accept the fact that Apple the company itself broke the laws and rules specified in Apple’s App store guidelines. Section 4.5.4 of the platform’s rules clearly state that apps aren’t allowed to use push notifications “for advertising, promotions, or direct marketing purposes.”

This has become the talk within iOS developers rather than the promotion happening to acquire customers.
