IBM designed the world’s smallest computer

IBM is working on bringing up the world’s smallest computer into a reality. It seems that they already designed a piece which is as small as a grain or a piece of salt (just 1mm x 1mm in size).

Brands like IBM, Apple etc are always into bringing up new technologies and unbelievable hardware inventions which introduces a revolution of computing. This time IBM is focusing on something like that.

This computer is powerful.

Blockchain

IBM

They claim that the computer is powered by blockchain technology which will enable security and transparency at the same time. Blockchain technology is the technology used behind cryptocurrencies like bitcoin.

The blockchain technology will power this computer to do tasks with security and transparency which is very much in need in the market right now. IBM also claimed that the computer will be cheap (approximately 10 cents each) and could be used with any kind of products.

For example, this computer could be added into a beer bottle neck or a cap to track more data from it. Millions and trillions of these computers could collect kinda infinite data from all around the world while keeping up the security with blockchain.

Also as blockchain technology uses the concept of public ledger, surely this computer would be managing the data in the same way (hopefully). Implementation of something like this could surely improve the industries around the globe to collect data and to study the data to bring up more efficiency.

Future

IBM

Future is definitely interesting and there is no doubt about it. Companies like IBM are always looking forward to make the future as bright as possible, and they’ll surely make this product happen within few years time.

Once it’s available on the market, it will surely impact the way of collecting data and researching it. It can even do calculations and has the power of a chip from 1990 (that’s more than enough).

Let’s wait and watch what’s about to happen.
