YouTube Launches New Beta App To Try Out New Changes and Updates

Applications are bound to change over time. They change to the tastes of the users, and also the current trend of the market. And that calls for first testing out the app first, before releasing it globally. Now, how do apps do that? Well, they load up a beta version of the app into app stores, and carry out all the testing there.

But of all the apps who opt for this beta feature, YouTube has stayed away. YouTube conducts tons of server tests on the official app. Some stay, while some others move on and don’t get installed on the app. That has angered and annoyed a ton of users over a long period of time. But now it seems like YouTube has finally given a hearing ear and is now willing to take off the burden

New Beta

YouTube now has a beta app on the Play Store. This app can be accessed by going to the beta section once inside the YouTube app page, and then clicking on the option to join the program. This app can be used to test out all the various new looks and feels that the app constantly rolls out to the stable and original version. By bringing those tests to the beta version, the app can bring only the best to the official version and leave everything else in the beta.

Bugs and Crashes

This is useful as sometimes due to the sudden change in the look and feel of the app bugs appear and the app crashes down. One can now only hope that Google will truly use the app and not let it be a beta app just for the sake of it.
