A mobile phone for the ones who hate smartphones

A mobile phone for the ones who hate smartphones

Smart phones are great, they came in the early 2007 and revolutionised the entire generation with a touch screen device on their hands. The idea of smartphones became immensely popular and it led to the development of other smart devices like tablets and phablets.

The thing which a smartphone could do is simply self explanatory, but should we consider the negative sides? I think we should!

Smart Phones

A mobile phone for the ones who hate smartphones

From the legendary iPhones to the brilliant android devices out there, every single smartphone is controlling lives around the globe. People are too much attached to their smartphone and the technology within them is addictive.

A good majority of the kids and teenagers are spending unbelievable amount of time with a smartphone. In many ways, smartphones are both helpful and weird at the same time. They eat a lot of time and there is no doubt about it.

There are people who hate smartphones and I’m sure the percentage is growing day by day (at a very small pace). Most of them are looking forward to find a solution which could save them time (I mean it). Because more free time is equal to more productivity.

Let’s meet,

Light Phone 2

Light Phone 2 Campaign from The Light Phone on Vimeo.

The above video might have given you a better idea about the light phone 2. But it’s not available in the market yet, because it’s the phone for the future. They are expecting to ship the first phone by 2019 April (I know that’s sad).

The concept of this mobile phone is very simple. Beautiful and light interface inside a rectangular shaped piece of art which is available in both black and white. The phone is definitely a piece of art without a doubt.

Light phone 2 makes everything simple, in fact the company wants you to manage your work and to lower down the mobile usage (which definitely saves time).

There won’t be Facebook and WhatsApp, but the phone comes with a 4G connectivity which means that you can make calls, messages and do more stuff like listening to music, setting an alarm and some other basic kinda stuff (do watch the video).

They use a lot of technology within the phone and e-ink is one of them. They use e-ink technology to show up the display and there are buttons around to control or trigger an action. The phone also have a USB type C port for charging purpose. They’ve also proposed a list of other features which they may or may not implement on their upcoming phone (let’s see).

Click here to back their Indiegogo campaign.

You can order this phone by backing up their project on Indiegogo (the price comes around $250 + shipping). If you really want to save some time and be productive by managing your work at the same time, you should give this a go.
