Google Play To Help Manage Your Subscriptions Easier

We all enjoy well-designed applications for a variety of reasons. They are fun, they are easy to use, and they also help us to get work done. But though some of the best apps on app stores are paid and not that expensive, we sometimes are hesitant in subscribing for them. We are worried if we will lose track of the process if will we lose all the money on the way.

Though that might have been true in the past, that is not true as for now. Google has addressed the concerns that come with subscribing apps and has launched its subscription center for Android users. This new feature now allows to see, find and manage all your app subscriptions.

That is not all about this feature. Not just helping you to manage present subscriptions, the app also offers a way for you to find other apps to subscribe that you might enjoy. Truly, this feature is a miracle.

The feature to manage subscriptions first featured at Google’s I/O developer conference in May and has since then rolled to Android users as well. Though many were already enjoying this feature for a few weeks, it is not until now that Google has officially announced this feature.

iOS Rip-off?

So, is this feature a rip-off of Apple’s feature to manage subscriptions? Not exactly. On iOS, to manage subscriptions one has to first click on one’s profile, his name, and then click “Subscriptions”. Well, Google’s way is far easier. One click on the hamburger menu and you can find “Subscriptions” there.

From there it is again a breeze. You can find all the apps that you have subscribed to, and you can even cancel or renew them at a tap of a button. Though Apple came with this feature first, the process on the Google Play Store is way more streamlined and easy to use.

Now, let’s imagine that there is this particular service that you canceled, but you regret doing so. Well, you can renew that easily. From the “Subscriptions” center in the Google Play Store, apps and services can be renewed too with ease.

If you are someone who has multiple bank or payment accounts, then this other feature will also be super useful for you. You can manage all your payment methods, and if one particular method fails, you can still go ahead and set up a backup method too.

This new feature from Google is best for both worlds. Both for developers and also for consumers. When developers have their apps subscribed, they are much more equipped for delivering the best content in the market. and if consumers are not afraid that they will forget their subscriptions or that they will misplace their payments, then they too can confidently go ahead and subscribe to apps.

That though isn’t the only feature that Google has brought out. Now there is also a new subscription discovery section that helps users find top paid or subscription apps based on both curated and localized collections.

Subscriptions are now being the top way for developers to gain income for their apps. And Google is making it easy for developers to do so. According to statistics from Google, subscribers are now growing at more than 80 percent year after year. And about the revenue, it is reported that app revenue grew at 35 percent to $60 billion in 2017.

So with all these numbers and money floating around, one can have no doubt on why Google would be interested to streamline the process. And so after various beta builds and tweaks, this feature is finally here, and we love it.
