Google Maps is letting users create public events and meetups

Google Maps has a very big user base which is around a billion. Every tiny update they release on the market will potentially impact or help people around the world to navigate or to get information about places. What if you had the option to see public events or meetups happening around your area with the help of Google Maps.

Yes, you heard it right. Google Maps is coming up with an interesting feature which is being tested by a few handful of users around the world. The users are getting an option to add a public event or a meetup (even if it’s a public party) happening around their area to Google Maps which will potentially attract more crowd.

Google might be looking forward to releasing this feature on specific countries considering a number of parameters. The first testing is being done with a certain number of selected users including Android Police. We are waiting for the official large scale release to push a major update.
