Tesla is looking for a long term and sustainable referral program
Tesla had to kill their old referral program due to expenses that might not please the investors at Tesla. The referral program allowed owners to give five friends, six months of free supercharging with Tesla Model X, Model S and Model 3. Apart from that, Tesla guaranteed to give away a total of 80 Roadster versions to satisfy their old referrals.
Though the company has decided to pull their old referral program by replacing it with a new one that gives both the owner and the friend 1000 miles of free supercharging. There is also a chance to win Founder Model Y every month and Founder’s Roadster every quarter.
Both cars will be signed by Elon Musk and Tesla’s chief designer. Once you win the program, you won’t be able to win again according to a tweet by Elon Musk.
No, it’s cumulative, but once you win one of the prizes, referral count resets to zero & you can’t win that prize again. Intent over time is to enable those without a massive social media presence to win.
